TEACHERS' CLASSROOM TOOLS GRANT AWARDS
The Ohio County Community Foundation is honored to administer the
Teachers’ Classroom Tools Grants Program. The purpose of the grant
program is to award grants to teachers in the Rising Sun Ohio County School
Corporation to fund projects or purchase teaching tools that will enhance the
curriculum in the classroom. In 2006, total of $1,978.04 was awarded in
grants from the Ohio County Today & Tomorrow Endowment Fund. The
following teachers were awarded Teachers’ Classroom Tools Grants in 2006.
Bob White, Mike Seipel - $800 Rising Sun High School
Purchase of projector, screen and mount for projector to be used by teacher
for classroom instruction using computer, VCR, DVD, Power Point, etc.
Marty Schmitt - $400 Ohio County Elementary Middle School
Purchase of Digital Camera for classroom to take pictures of school staff,
surroundings and projects to use with autistic and special needs students as a
speech tool.
Andrea Levi - $396.59 Ohio County Elementary Middle School
Purchase of updated charts, posters and videos about science concepts.
Nanette Williams - $381.45 Ohio County Elementary Middle School
Purchase of six Celebrity Read Posters and frames for the school library to
inspire middle school students to read.
