The Ohio County Community Foundation (OCCF) is pleased to
administer the Future Generations Scholarship Program. This
grant program was established within the Ohio County Community
Foundation in March of 2006 by Mayor, Bill Marksberry, City
Clerk, Rae Baker Gipson and the Rising Sun City Council. It is the
goal of the City of Rising Sun to financially assist every graduate of
Rising Sun High School seeking to pursue a four (4) year college
degree who meets the specific scholarship criteria. This grant
program will began with the Class of 2006. Each year, the City of
Rising Sun determines the amount of scholarship award by available
funds. This year the award amount will be $1,000 per recipient with
a payout of $500 per semester.
